Position Title Library Director

Job Description The Haines Borough is currently accepting applications for Library Director of the Haines Borough Public Library. This position is under the direct supervision of the Library Board and is responsible for administering the library and its services, performing technical duties, communications and public relations, collection development equipment maintenance, reference duties, circulation duties and overseeing facility management. Position Title Police Officer
Filing Deadline Friday, April 11, 2008, or until filled.
Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or equilvalent, all requirements set forth by the Alaska Police Standards Council for employment as a police officer in Alaska, and a valid Alaska driver's license. Preference may be given to Alaska certified or certifiable applicants. Applicant must be in good physical health. A complete extensive background investigation with criminal record checks, credit rating and polygraph examination to determine the candidate's fitness of character, reputation and reliability for police work will be required. Perference will be given to applicants with police experience.
Wage Rate The current starting wage is $18.69/hour plus standby pay. This is a union positon subject to union dues and included medical benefits, PERS retirement, annual leave, sick leave, personal leave, and paid holidays.

Position Title Parks/General Laborer

Position Title Dock Representative

Position Title Materials Superintendent

Responsibilities
  • Establish and implement operating standards and procedures for purchasing, warehousing, shipping and freight.
  • Lead and direct purchasing activities in a professional manner to insure quality service, required supplies and lowest costs are achieved and maintained consistently.

  •     * Establish min/max quantity for high turnover items.

    Wage Rate The initial work schedule is a 2 weeks on 1 week off rotation located at the Kensington remote camp. Once in production, the work schedule will be a daily commute.
