Description |
The Microloan and Small Busines Specialist is responsible for reviewing loan applications with the Loan
Administration Team; administering loans to selected businesses; and ensuring that all facets of the program

Qualifications |
Qualified applicants will have the ability to:
(1) Oversee all loan processing and administration; work with loan applicants to create the terms of the
loan; provide oversight of the business' business plan to ensure business success and their ability to
repay loans . (2) In cooperation with the Tribe's Associate Tribal Administrator for Finance, be responsible
for maintaining a set of books for the project. (3) Ensure the integrity of the Microloan Program; complete
quarterly reporting; documenting how the microloans are supporting the businesses, what new businesses are
interested in funding and how many jobs are still being supported.
Knowledge of small business management, finance and accounting principles and practices as
evidenced by a bachelor's degree in business or a related field or three to five years of business
experiences is required. Excellent people skills and ability to work in a team environment are required.
Strong written and oral communication skills required. Skill in the use of computer programs such as
Word, Excel, Access, and QuickBooks preferred. Experience in developing businessplans, grant proposals,
and loan applications is a plus.

This year-round, part-time, non-exempt position will pay $19 per hour. A flexible schedule is available
requiring 15-20 hours per week.
