Alaska Ocean Ranger

Description |
Ocean Rangers are USCG Licensed Marine Engineers whom travel on board cruise ships throughout the summer and
act as independent observers monitoring State environmental and marine discharge requirements. They also check
that passengers and crew are protected from improper sanitation, health and safety practices.

Requirements |
1. Current Designated Duty Engineer (DDE)** Unlimited or 3 A/E Unlimited H.P. or greater U.S. Coast Guard
license; Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC); Merchant Mariners Document (MMD); current
passport.
2. Membership in the American Maritime Officer (AMO) union, or willing and able to become member if hired.
3. Clean criminal background check with no offenses that prevent entry into Canada.
4. Sound physical condition and completion of a post-offer physical examination, including drug test.
5. Successful completion of the Ocean Ranger training class in Dania Beach, FL.

Wage Rate |
Position includes $10,000 monthly salary, benefits and reimburseable expenses. Alaskan hiring preference.

Must hold a current American Red Cross Lifeguard Training and First Aid Certificate, a current American
Red Cross CPR Card for the Professional Rescuer, and be able to pass pre-employment testing of lifeguarding
