The Haines Chamber of Commerce is backed by 9 board members who volunteer their expertise over 3-year terms. Four of these Directors make up the Executive office: President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer.

These highly dedicated and talented individuals represent our vibrant business community and come from diverse backgrounds and companies of varying size. The Chambers Board of Directors meet on a regular basis to assess the concerns of our business community. The board acts as the primary body that advances support or concern to various levels of government and other public and private sector organizations and enhances the vitality of the Haines business community.

We welcome our newly elected board members: David Canipe of King's Store, Inc. and Jan Hill owner of House of Beads.

David originally came to Haines to be the Valley of the Eagles first golf pro.  In the past few years, David has become more interested in the issues that our community faces and desires to help improve Haines' economic future.

Jan, a lifelong resident of Haines, desires to find ways of improving our economic development opportunities and she is also looking forward to the day when our economy will be stable enough to provide good employment for our young people so that they will continue to make Haines their home.

In addition, we welcome back our re-elected board member, Judith McDermaid, owner of The Hair Shop.

With every election, we bid farewell to some members of the board. This year we bid farewell to Patty Campbell and Adam Patterson. We are very appreciative of their dedication to the Haines Chamber of Commerce and the Haines Business Community.
